An accomplished artist, story-teller, and champion for human rights, Eunice LaFate was born on the island of Jamaica. Her original inspiration - her tones, colors, and landscapes - had their roots in the Caribbean. Her vision, worldview, and art grew when she came to America and traveled abroad. She reflects now on her 20 year career of embracing and fighting for diversity and celebrating differences.

The Creative Vision Factory provides individuals with behavioral health disorders an opportunity for self-expression, empowerment and recovery through the arts. Members are free to pursue a wide array of visual, literary and performing arts. Workshops, personalized instruction, and open studio time allow each artist to develop and pursue their own creative practice.
The Delaware Historical Society was founded in May 1864 for “the elucidation of history, particularly such portions as may refer to Delaware.” Over the next 15 decades, the organization refined its stated purpose to reflect both a changing society and the evolution of the public history profession. The mission of the Delaware Historical Society today is to serve as the statewide, non-profit organization that preserves, explores, shares and promotes Delaware history, heritage and culture to strengthen our community.
