Theatre N is Back!

Downtown Wilmington is the place for great entertainment - including quality films.

As the News Journal reports - Theatre N is back and under new management:

The 221-seat art house theater will be run by newcomer The Mill, which operates a 12,000-square-foot co-working space on the fourth floor of the Nemours Building. (Theatre N is housed in the Nemours Building at 11th and Tatnall streets in downtown Wilmington.)
The Mill leases the theater from Buccini/Pollin Group and manages it.
Downtown Wilmington-based commercial film firm The Kitchen now markets and advertises the theater.
And Beverly Zimmerman, who ran Theatre N from its 2002 opening until Mayor Williams took office at the beginning of 2013, will return as a curator, selecting which first-run films will be screened.

Downtown Wilmington's Comedy Scene

We know that Downtown Wilmington is the place to be for talented musicians, artists, and entrepreneurs - but did you know there's also a growing comedy scene here?

Our friends at Out and About Magazine just published a great story about our comedy scene that's growing out of Spaceboy Clothing at 711 North Market Street.

“It was a comedy club,” Vincent says. “It’s just there. Brick walls, the lighting is perfect, low ceilings. It’s like they accidentally built the Comedy Cellar down there.”

Market Street Fashion

Downtown Wilmington is a great place for creativity in the fashion world.

Cherne Altovise is one place you definitely want to check out for fashion - and our friends at Out and About Magazine just featured Cherne Bishop for her work in bringing great fashion to the area.

Here's an excerpt:

Class of 2012 University of Delaware fashion merchandising major Cherné Altovise Bishop, owner of the 316 N. Market St. accessories shop Cherné Altovise, is enthusiastic about her store’s approaching one-year anniversary on Oct. 17.
The milestone is just one check on the 26-year-old entrepreneur’s list of career goals, which includes future locations in Philadelphia, Baltimore and New York City – all of them based on her slogan of creating options for the “everyday fashion icon.”
