St. Patrick’s serves the east end of Wilmington and have done so for a long time. St. Patrick’s was founded in 1880, as the city and the area of Irish immigration expanded. Though small, we maintain a vital presence in the city. The buildings and grounds are islands of beauty, and the regular celebration of the liturgy sanctifies the city. St. Patrick’s boasts some of the finest windows in the city.

Grace Church.jpg

At Grace Church, we bear witness to God’s grace, since 1864. In the midst of Civil War, Civil Rights, the 1968 occupation, and the current challenges and opportunities in 2020—we see the grace of God, wondrously working in ways we can’t always articulate and in ordinary ways through wonderfully ordinary people, like you and me. The grace that goes before us, that surrounds us, that leads us, that fills us, is spilling over into all we do and say.

We don’t always get it right. If you take part in our community life, you will see us make mistakes and ways we could do better. We, too, need grace. And we believe that God’s grace has been present, since the beginning of creation, made flesh in Jesus who was full of grace and truth, and working through us as a family in Christ by the power of the Spirit.  Join us sometime!

Christina Cultural Arts Center (CCAC) was founded in 1945. The mission is to change the trajectory of a child’s life by making affordable arts education, career pathways, live performances, and gallery exhibitions accessible to all in a safe and welcoming environment.

CCAC uses after-school programs in music, dance, drama, visual arts, and literature to develop artistic talents, educational aptitudes, and life skills in our students. The students develop social-emotional intelligence, improve academic proficiency, and build the protective assets they need to be better prepared to lead productive lives. CCAC also provides an after-school violence prevention program that promotes trauma healing and provides strategies through arts integration and advocates for arts learning in public schools and community settings. Located in Wilmington’s Creative District, CCAC provides high-quality arts experiences on-site and advocates for and provides arts learning in public schools and community centers.
