Ever since the weather started getting warmer, I've been approached by many people wanting to know when the Downtown Wilmington Farmers Market was going to start up for the season.
I'm very pleased to say that we're getting things started this Wednesday - and you might want to come out at noon to learn more about some special events we have planned for this Summer.
Also, here's my friend Tucker Casey talking about the great successes we're enjoying with the Farmers Market:
I hope to see you at the Farmers Market!
Marty

Wilmington, DE May 11, 2015 – On Wednesday May 13th at 12:00 PM, Downtown Visions celebrates the 2015 Grand Opening of the Downtown Farmer’s Market at Rodney Square.
The 2015 season of the Downtown Wilmington Farmers Market at Rodney Square operates every Wednesday, rain or shine, through October 14th from 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM, except for June 17th for the Jazz Fest. Join us every Wednesday in beautiful Rodney Square, between 10th & 11th Streets and Market & King Streets. Centrally located, Rodney Square has been the center of great events such as the annual Clifford Brown Jazz Festival and is the perfect setting for the Farmers Market. The Square comes to life each Wednesday beneath the statue of Caesar Rodney, for whom the park is named. The Farmers Market offers an array of the freshest local produce, plants, herbs and cut flowers, a large assortment of beautiful handmade and other items, including arts and crafts, unique jewelry and delicious home baked goods. Stroll the Square and then relax under an umbrella at one the many café tables. The food truck craze has come to Rodney Square with a number of new offerings like I Don’t Give A Fork and The Wildwich and market favorites KaPow and KOI On the Go. Enjoy a delicious lunch while listening to a variety of free live entertainment.
We also have many new events like Summer In The City that will be kicking off soon in Rodney Square and H.B. DuPont Park that will feature music, food trucks and lunch seating open to the public.
