On Monday, December 11th, creatives, visionaries and entrepreneurs gathered at The Mill in Downtown Wilmington, DE to celebrate not only the Holiday Season, but also to learn more about how creativity and the arts are helping to transform the commercial district.
Speakers included Mayor Michael S. Purzycki, Martin Hageman, Executive Director of Downtown Visions, Mark Fields, Executive Director of The Grand Opera House, Wilmington DE and The Playhouse on Rodney Square and Robert Herrera, Founder of the creative co-working space The Mill Space.
Guests not only enjoyed the beautifully decorated modern space and light refreshments, but an insightful conversation on the progression of the district thanks to creative endeavors.

Here are the holiday parking regulations: From 12PM-6PM each weekday through 12/29, the City will not require payment at parking meters in the Downtown Business District (2nd St. to 12th St., and French Str. to Washington St.) and in the Riverfront Business District.
A historic staple of Market Street at 2 East 7th has been restored and 15 brand-new apartments named 618 MKT are now available to call home! Above 4,500 sq ft of retail, the new apartments are stunning, with stainless steel appliances, quartz countertops and beautiful views of the city below.
The grand opening not only celebrates the new apartments, but also the historic building façade being restored to its original Queen Anne Style dating back to 1895. Just a month following the MKT Place grand opening, which houses the community’s amenities including a fitness center and resident lounge, the resurgence of energy continues on Market Street as more people call it home.
