Downtown Visions is proud to partner with Spaceboy Clothing to continue The KEEP IT COOL Music, Art & Comedy Series at Humble Park located at 4th & Shipley Streets throughout the summer.

The first event will take place on July 13th at 7 PM and Feature Live Music by: The Collingwood, The Psychedelic Puppets & Gamma Wolf.

Downtown Wilmington DE Safety Ambassadors

Whether you need directions on where to go, are curious about the local history of the beautiful buildings that surround you on Market Street or would like someone to walk you to your vehicle late at night, the Downtown Visions Safety Ambassadors are here to serve you. 

Did you know the friendly folks in the bright yellow along the Market Street corridor receive over 80 hours of training on topics such as crime prevention, customer service, local history and local attractions? These individuals serve the community daily at no cost to the public and have increased their service hours recently to Monday through Thursday starting at 6 AM until 11:45 PM and weekend hours are 9 AM thru 1:45 AM.

Increased Summer Safety Patrol Hours Means Later Nights Enjoying All that The City has to Offer!

Downtown Visions Safety Ambassador

Beginning in May our Downtown Visions Safety Ambassadors team started new, increased hours within the Downtown Development District.  Hours during the week include Monday through Thursday starting at 6 AM until 11:45 PM and weekend hours are 9 AM thru 1:45 AM. 

We hope these enhanced service hours provide guests, residents and tourists with the opportunity to enjoy all that the city has to offer this summer. From the brand-new restaurants such as Stitch House to late-night shows at The Grand Opera House and The Queen. Our safety ambassadors are here to help you! 

You'll see our Safety Ambassadors up and down Market Street wearing bright yellow jackets. Our friendly team is devoted to serving you. Each ambassador receives 80 hours of in-house training in addition to field training on topics such as crime prevention, customer service, local history and local attractions. They can give you directions, information on restaurants, hotels and local shops — just ask!

The ambassadors also offer a safety escort service. Simply call (302) 425-4200 x1 to request a free Safety Escort anywhere within the neighborhood.

Join Downtown Visions and City of Wilmington, Delaware Mike Purzycki - Mayor of the City of Wilmington for an evening of downtown news and conversation with the Wilmington Department of Police - Delaware, Chief Robert J. Tracy and the new Delaware College of Art and Design President, Jean Dahlgren. All are welcome to join us on Tuesday, June 27th at DCAD, 600 N Market Street, doors open at 5 p.m.!

Light appetizers and refreshments will be served. Following the event, Chelsea Tavern is offering all guests 20% off food and alcoholic beverages!
